Happy Holidays!
Holiday season is in full swing and The Summit at Big Spring is full of holiday cheer! I may be bias, but this is my favorite time of the year, so all you “Scrooges” out there step aside… or you may get flocked!
December is always a fun month for events. There’s just something about a party going on inside while it’s chilly outside. The energy of the holiday season keeps me bustling about and I’m not complaining one bit about the scent of roasts and baked goodies that caterers bring in as we undergo set up. Which brings me to my point: I am so grateful to be surrounded by wonderful people that continue to provide over-the-top service to us. My hats off and a full-fledged curtsy to our vendors, clients and friends that have filled this holiday season with warmth, merriment and magic!
The holidays to me are about sharing great food, wine and good times with family and friends. It is this season that I count my blessings a little more and hug people a little tighter. This time of the year always brings me back to my childhood. Some of my fondest childhood memories took place during the holidays. Going to pick out the perfect tree, making gingerbread houses with my Grandmother, dancing in “The Nutcracker” ballet and just being with loved ones are a few that put me at ease, during what sometimes can be a very hectic season.
I challenge you to remember the days when you still believed in magic (hopefully you still do). In that case, I hope you are inspired to make magic. I encourage you all to take time to stop and smell the…all-spice this season. I wish all of you a magical holiday and hope that you have the “light hearted spirit” of a child on Christmas Day!
Warm Wishes.
